Your independent guide to Andalucía, all year round
Andalucía 365 is an independent English-language guide to southern Spain, run by Dan and Jo, an English couple who moved to Andalucía in 2005. They lived here full-time for many years and now split their time between Andalucía and Devon, returning throughout the year. Every guide on this site comes from that lived experience: the festivals they've attended, the restaurants they've eaten in, the roads they've driven, and the bureaucratic processes they've had to navigate themselves.
The site covers all eight provinces, from the big-ticket cities and coastlines to inland towns, local food, seasonal festivals, road trips, nature, and the realities of everyday life in the south. It is built for travellers, long-stay visitors, and residents who want practical detail as well as a sense of place.
We use structured research, official sources, and careful editing to maintain broad coverage, and we keep improving pages as details change. AI tools may assist with research and drafting, but every publishing decision and final edit is made editorially.
We are independent. Some pages include advertising, affiliate links, or sponsored placements. These are clearly labelled and do not influence what we choose to cover.
How we decide what belongs on the site
We prioritise pages that help someone make a real decision: where to base a trip, how to move between places, what is worth booking, and which details need checking before travel.
Practical claims are checked against official providers, operators, venues, or local information where possible. When details can change, we point readers back to the official source rather than pretending a guide is permanently final.
We would rather keep a weak page out of Google than publish broad, generic coverage. Pages are reviewed, corrected, expanded, or noindexed as the site improves.
What makes this different from a generic guide
Andalucía is too varied for one set of broad recommendations. A good plan for Cádiz can fail in Jaén, and a summer beach choice on the Costa de la Luz is not the same decision as a winter city break in Granada. We try to make those distinctions clear, even when that means saying a page is not ready yet or that a reader should check a current provider before booking.
The strongest pages on the site combine lived experience with practical checks: neighbourhood choices, transport trade-offs, seasonal warnings, official venue links, and internal links to the next sensible guide. Start with the routes, where-to-stay guides or practical planning pages if you want to see how that approach works in practice.
We also keep commercial and utility pages separate from editorial judgement. Privacy information, affiliate disclosures and advertising enquiries remain easy to find, but they are not treated as travel guides or padded out to look more substantial than they are.
