The Eight Provinces of Andalucía
Andalucía is divided into eight provinces, each with its own character, landscape, and culture. From the Alhambra and Sierra Nevada to the Atlantic coastline and the olive plains of Jaén, there is a different side to the south at every turn.
If it is your first trip
Start with Granada, Sevilla and Málaga if you want the easiest mix of transport, major sights, food and day trips. Add Córdoba or Cádiz if history and atmosphere matter more than covering ground quickly.
If you are returning
Jaén, Huelva and Almería reward slower travel. They have fewer international visitors, more driving, and some of the strongest local food, nature and inland-town experiences on the site.
