Feria de San Bernabé

Marbella celebrates its 'Semana Grande' with the Feria de San Bernabé, honoring the city's patron saint. The festivities officially kick off with a traditional 'romería' (pilgrimage) and the switching on of the spectacular fairground lights. The city is divided between the 'Day Fair' in the historic centre (Alameda Park and Avenida del Mar) and the 'Night Fair' near La Cañada shopping mall. Expect a week of flamenco dresses, horse parades, traditional 'casetas' serving sherry and tapas, and large-scale concerts. The highlight is June 11th, which commemorates the Reconquista of Marbella in 1485. It is the most authentic expression of Marbella’s soul, blending luxury with traditional Andalusian folk culture.
