Restaurants in Andalucía

From tapas bars in Sevilla to seafood chiringuitos on the Costa, the best places to eat across all eight provinces.

How to choose where to eat

Andalucía rewards specific choices. Look for seafood on the coast, slow-cooked mountain dishes inland, olive-oil cooking in Jaén and Córdoba, and sherry-friendly menus around Cádiz and Jerez.

What we include

This directory is for useful, published restaurant listings rather than every business with a dining room. We prioritise places with a clear local angle, practical visitor value, and enough detail to help you decide.

Use the province filters

Food changes quickly across the region. Filtering by province keeps the list practical, especially if you are planning around a base city, a coastal stay, or a road trip through several inland towns.

Restaurant styles to understand before booking

A traditional venta or mesón is usually better for grilled meats, stews and generous portions than for delicate tasting menus. A market bar can be perfect for lunch if you want fried fish, shellfish, rice dishes or seasonal specials without a long sit-down meal. On the coast, a chiringuito is about sea views and simple fish cookery; inland, look for restaurants that name local olive oil, game, mushrooms, cheeses or mountain pork.

Opening hours matter. Many serious restaurants still serve lunch as the main meal, close between services, and may not open every night outside high season. In historic centres, the most atmospheric streets are not always where the best food is; moving a few blocks away from the main monument often gives better value and a more local rhythm.

For a first meal in a new town, use the listings alongside the wider food guides: tapas for casual grazing, regional dishes for what to order, and dining guides when a city has enough depth to justify neighbourhood-by-neighbourhood advice.

Try a broader province filter, or start with the dining guides to choose where to eat.
